Scholarships for second cycle students onwards
You can apply from May 25 to June 7, 2026.
For the process, it is essential to complete the socioeconomic form and present the documents according to what is detailed below:
Types of scholarships
The University of Azuay, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic and the Organic Law of Higher Education, will grant a scholarship to those who, due to the economic and social condition of their home, require it. This scholarship is processed only once, automatically renewing until the end of the degree, provided that the conditions established in the regulations are met.
For this purpose, you must fill out the Socioeconomic Form and digitally upload to the student portal in the "scholarship application" menu the documentation detailed in the Scholarship Instructions /section: general instructions.
Note: Scholarships based on socioeconomic status are automatically renewed each cycle, provided that the student meets the requirements established in the scholarship regulations.
Requirements:
Color copy of the applicant's disability card issued by CONADIS or the Ministry of Public Health.
Color copy of the student's identity card.
Upload digitally to the student portal in the "scholarship application" menu the documentation detailed in the Scholarship Instructions /section: general instructions.
Requirements:
Updated certificate from the Sports Federation or Federated Organization proving that the applicant is an active member; and, detailing the place, date and position achieved in the competitions of the last year.
Color copy of the applicant's identity card.

The University of Azuay, in order to recognize the academic merit of its students, from the second cycle of studies, may grant a scholarship for one academic period to the best student who has obtained the highest score equivalent to outstanding in their level, according to Article 7 of the Scholarship Regulations.
Once the student knows the results ( from July 07 to August 25, 2025 ) , they must digitally upload the documentation detailed in the Scholarship Instructions /section: general instructions to the student portal in the "scholarship application" menu.
Requirements:
Certificate issued by the Department of Culture or the authority of the Faculty where the academic activities are carried out previously authorized by the Rector of the University of Azuay. The certificate must contain the following information: student code, full names, major and the number of participation cycles.

Requirements:
Ministerial agreement stating the name of the national hero or heroine.
Certificate of appointment as a national hero or heroine.
Hero or combatant card.
Color copy of the applicant's identity card.

General indications:
The socioeconomic form must be filled out with information about the student's home. The MiUDA University Welfare Department will review the information and documentation sent. If there is any observation, the student's institutional email will be notified so that they can clarify, correct or complete what is appropriate.
Requirements:
- Fill the socioeconomic sheet and enter digital documents in pdf format.
- Color copy of the identity card of household members.
- Justification of monthly income:
- Payroll of the last three months. If the student is a beneficiary of alimony Follow the indicated procedure: 1
- Income tax return of the immediately preceding year. Form 102 or Form 107 printed from the SRI portal.
- If you do not have payment or declaration documents to the SRI, a Sworn declaration
- Heritage justification:
- Property Report2
- Property Registry Certificate of the Cuenca canton of household assets (last year). If you reside in another city, a certificate from the Property Registry of the corresponding canton will be attached.
- EMOV certificate o National Transit Agency that indicates the ownership of vehicles of household members (last month).
- Copy of vehicle license plates of household members.

Please note: All documentation must be submitted within the dates specified in the call for applications. Applications submitted after the deadline or with incomplete documentation will not be accepted.
Complete the socioeconomic form and upload the files in PDF format to the student portal under the scholarship application menu. Remember that all notifications regarding the process will be sent to your institutional email address.
Review the results of your application from 18 June, 2026 en the student portal.
Applications with incomplete documentation or outside the application date will not be considered.
